The penalties and restrictions which apply to consolidated tickets are similar to those which apply to published web specials, sale fares and coach class airfares. Since 9/11, airline companies have become more restrictive on most kinds of tickets. The cheapest tickets for either published or consolidated fares are generally the least flexible and have the highest penalties.
