Montreal and regions to the south were blanketed in thick fog on Saturday morning. This fog wreaked havoc with drivers and grounded flights. More than two dozen flights at Trudeau International Airport were either delayed or canceled, as were more than 50 arrivals. The departing flights were bound for destinations in Canada, the US, and Mexico.
All travelers and people picking up travelers are advised to visit Aéroports de Montréal's website at www.admtl.com and click on the Current Flights tab in order to check the status of their flights. Transport Quebec reported that the fog caused difficult driving conditions in various regions and a hit and run causing the death of a 50-year-old man may have been caused by the foggy conditions. The fog stretched from the south as far north and east as Quebec City and into the Saguenay region.
