There is about to be more flights between key cities in India, namely Bangalore, Chennai, and New Delhi, and Singapore. The additional flights are part of a new deal that was signed by India's Civil Aviation Minister Shri Ajit Singh during a recent three-day visit to Singapore. As of yet, there have been no details released on the number of flights that will be added between Singapore and the cities in India.
At the present time, there are 432 flights per week between Singapore and India. There are eight carriers that are operating these flights, which go between Singapore and 12 cities in India. With the addition of the new flights, it is expected that prices will come down and the congestion on flights to popular destinations in India will ease. While in Singapore, Mr. Singh paid a visit to Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew.
