For the third day in a row heavy fog is causing major problems at Guernsey Airport. Many flights have tried to get on and off the island over the past three days, but over that time only three have managed to land. Airport director, Colin Le Ray, said that today's conditions are similar to those that plagued the airport on Friday, a day when no commercial flights could operate.
Le Ray also stated that the outlook for Saturday is not good as the Met office has indicated that tomorrow's weather could be more of the same. For now, it looks as if people will be booking flights to or from the island for Sunday and some people have had to cancel their travel plans altogether. People planning to fly out in the next day or two are advised to contact their airlines before heading to the airport.
