The process of changing service providers was not wrapped up in time for the Thursday flights to operate as scheduled. He said there was a lot of paperwork involved, but the process is complete and now they are operating legally. Velvet Air is based in Durban and flies between Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Polokwane.
