Commercial flights operating out of Zamboanga city were still suspended on Wednesday due to flooding on the runways. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) will meet with the Philippine Information Agency to discuss the situation and plans for passengers who are stranded.
The suspension of all commercial air traffic at Zamboanga was set in place on Tuesday because of the flooding.
Some of the canceled flights include those of Cebu Pacific and PAL Express, including 5J851/434 CEB-ZAM-CEB, 5J857/858 MNL-ZAM-MNL, and 5J851/852 MNL-ZAM-MNL. Passengers who have tickets booked for these flights have the option to re-route or rebook their flights within 30 days, get a full refund, or convert the full value of their fares into a travel fund.
