Several of the world’s tech giants have signed a petition asking for non-stop flights between Tel Aviv and Dublin. According to the CEO of the Ireland-Israel Business Network, “Direct flights would encourage more collaboration between tech companies to join forces and target customers in bigger economies, such as the U.S. and China.” Among the companies that have signed are Salesforce, Facebook, eBay, Intel, and Linkedin. Many of the tech giants have their European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. As it stands, people traveling from Tel Aviv have to take a five hour flight to London and then catch a connection to Dublin. A direct flight would reduce the flight time to slightly over five hours.
