Eitihad Airways has begun daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City. This offers around 3,700 seats a week between the UAE and Vietnam. This will hopefully increase tourism between the two countries.
According to the Vietnamese ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, approximately 14,000 Vietnamese visitors made it to the UAE in 2011; with the additional flights, he is expecting around 20,000 visitors this year.
