Fog on Friday morning affected flights out of the Billy Bishop airport in Toronto. This led to a crowded departure lounge after the delays were announced. The airport made the announcements over Twitter to let passengers know their flights would be delayed. The fog started to clear; around 9:30 some of the passengers were advised to expect an hour-and-a-half delay as Porter worked on the backlog of flights leaving the airport. The weather was fine for departing and arriving flights later in the day. Porter’s Twitter feed, posted at 9:34 am ET, during the delay, told passengers to check with their “specific fit (sic) status” and provided a link.
