Flight cancellations and delays continued Thursday at Dubai’s international airport after yesterday’s crash-landing. While all the passengers and flight crew were evacuated safely said from some minor injuries, a firefighter was killed responding to the crash-landing. The cause of the crash-landing is still unclear.
The airport issued a statement saying it is “under restricted capacity and has since continued to operate with one runway.” Some flights are coming in to the Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central. Several flights have been cancelled for Thursday; FlyDubai cancelled 20. On Wednesday, 27 flights were cancelled and many others were rescheduled or delayed. Twenty-three were diverted to other airports in Dubai, Bahrain, and Oman.
