Etihad Airways is about to change its flight schedule to South Korea in order to improve the connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Seoul. The current schedule is split, which means that the different flights depart at different times on different days, making it hard for passengers to plan their travel. However, starting in January, 2013, the new flight schedule will see the flight departing Abu Dhabi at 10:05 pm and arriving in Seoul at 11:45 am the next day. The return flight will depart Seoul at 12:45 am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 6:50 am the same day.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways President and Chief Executive Officer, said the new schedule will offer passengers more flexibility and convenience, especially those passengers travelling to Seoul from the GCC, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and even South America, once their new Sao Paulo flight starts up in July 2013.Hogan also anticipates the new schedule attracting new customer segments in the political and commercial sectors, as well as increased leisure travel.
