Canadian airlines have worried about business for years as millions of air travelers make the trip to U.S. border airports looking for cheaper fares. Now a Toronto-based airline, Sunwing Airlines, is leaving to offer vacation destinations from Buffalo. It will offer weekly service on Satrudayd starting in January to Cancun, Mexico, and in February will offer trips to Punta Canad in the Dominican Republic until May. These flights will take place out of Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Although the tickets cost less, Canadians who decide to fly from Buffalo will have to deal with the exchange rate as well as travel time and money to park in the United States for the length of their stay.
