Jamaica has its arms open to welcome new seasonal service and increased flights from the US. The new flights will offer nonstop service from most of the major gateways in the US. The increase in the number of seat for air travel to Jamaica this year is astounding at 60,000, resulting in more than 1.2 million seats.
Jamaica’s Director of Tourism, John Lynch, said that they will ensuring they work with their travel partners on an ongoing basis to remain competitive in the tourism industry. With Jamaica celebrating its 50th year since they gained their independence, the regular flights and charter flights will make it easy for travellers to visit again and again. Examples of new flights is American Airlines' flight from Miami to Kingston and Continental Airlines' flight from Houston to Montego Bay.
