Malaysia Airlines is in serious financial trouble after being involved in two horrible air tragedies this year. Photos taken by a few passengers show that some flights are operating almost empty. Flight MH370 disappeared in March on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and hasn’t been found. In June, Flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine; all passengers and crew were lost.
Although not all blame can be placed on the airline, many people are linking the airline with the deaths of all those people and are avoiding flying Malaysia Airlines. This is bad news for Malaysia Airlines, which was operating in the red for about five years before this year. The air lie won’t let that get them down, though, and continue to operate anyway. The company is going through almost $2.16 million every day to operate, losing about $1.6 million per day in operations.
