Both easyJet and British Airways have canceled their flights to the Egyptian resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh until at least January because of the Russian passenger jet shot down there last month. Almost 20,000 British citizens have been brought back, and the Foreign Office is telling people not to travel there unless absolutely necessary. On Tuesday, easyJet officials said they had decided to hold off on flights “until the government's advice changes.” Flights are canceled to at least January 6, 2016. People holding tickets there between now and then are being offered a refund or ticket to an alternate location.
British Airways is suspending flights to the Egyptian resort until January 14.
