UK flights could be affected by French air control traffic strike
easyJet has said it will have to cancel a quarter of its flights because of the French air traffic controller strike. More than 50 flights were canceled on Tuesday between Ryanair and easyJet, and British Airways canceled three flights.
UK airports have advised travelers that any flights traveling through French airspace could be delayed, including ones going to Spain. So far, none of the 20 flights canceled by the two budget airlines are ones that connect to the UK, but the airlines have said that some flights originating in the UK could be affected. Passengers have been told to avoid booking or rebooking flights for between June 24 and June 25 because of the ongoing strike. The strike is planned to last for six days with Tuesday being the first.
