Jet Airways plans to resume its flights to the United States due to high demand after it stopped the Mumbai-Brussels-New York service in March. The airline is looking into a non-stop flight as well as a one-stop flight to New York. Currently the airline only offers connections to the United States using code-share partners Delta, United, and Etihad from Amsterdam, London, and Abu Dhabi respectively.
As part of an agreement signed with Etihad in 2013, Jet Airways was supposed to offer flights to Chicago, Newark, and New York via Abu Dhabi but instead of launching its own flights, the airline leased its Boeing 777s to Etihad for flights to San Francisco and New York.
