Manila radar control center to undergo a 30-hour maintenance procedure
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines issued a notice on Sunday stating that there will be a 30-hour maintenance procedure this week at the Manila Radar facility. This will result in longer times between flights. The procedure will start at 1 am on October 23 and go until October 24.
To reduce congestion, control will be limited to 11 departures and 11 arrivals per hour. International flights will get first priority. Non-commercial flights will not be permitted at the NAIA complex.
There will be a space of five to seven minutes between flights to permit for complications due to flight delays, emergencies, or bad weather.
