Air Canada is expanding its international service next summer with their two new Boeing 777 aircraft. They will add direct service to Istanbul, Turkey and will also expand their level of service to Asia-Pacific. They will add year-round service from Toronto to Istanbul that will operate three times per week. Ben Smith, chief commercial officer of Air Canada says that Istanbul and Turkey are growing fast and they feel nonstop service is now warranted.
The airline will also be adding service from Toronto to Seoul, the fifth Asian destination for the airline, which will operate three times per week. June 1 will see three additional weekly flights from Toronto to Beijing, making a total of 10 flights per week, and Vancouver will offer four additional flights to Beijing, increasing the total of weekly flights to 11. They will also increase the service from Calgary to Tokyo to daily flights.
