Monday, June 11, was a day for the record books for Etihad Airways. On that day, the airline received 65,500 bookings, which is the single highest number of bookings for the airline on any day. The new record beat out the previous one by 13%, made on January 9. Another record was broken as the bookings for the four-day period between June 14-17 is the highest for the airline for a four-day period, with June 17 set to beat previous records for advance premium cabin bookings.
The four day period is seeing the most popular travel destinations as Bangkok, Manila, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Sydney, Riyadh, and Jeddah. James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer, said that they are happy to have broken records and they are seeing an increased demand for flights, not only for this weekend, but for the summer travel season. Hogan adds that the airline has expanded a lot over the past year, allowing them to offer passengers world class service.
