Starting Monday, airlines were reporting cancelations ahead of a 24-hour strike planned by air traffic controllers in France.
According to Frances’s DGAC civil aviation authority, airlines planned to reduce flights in and out of Paris by 30 percent in order to avoid issues with the strike. For airports outside of Paris, like Toulouse, Marseille, Lyon, and Nice, flights were reduced by 20 percent.
Flights traveling through French airspace on their way to other destinations will also be affected by the industrial action.
Anyone with a flight that has been affected should contact their travel agent or airline in order to get a new flight within the next seven days, or claim a refund.
