On December 10, Malaysia Airlines will resume direct service between Kota Kinabalu and Perth. This will compliment the ten nonstop flights per week that currently operate between Perth and Kuala Lampur. The new service to Kota Kinabalu will operate once per week and depart Perth each Monday at 12:40 am, arriving in Kota Kinabalu at 6:25 am. The return flight will depart Kota Kinabalu on Sunday at 6:00 pm and arrive in Perth at 11:25 pm.
The flight will be operated on a two-class Boeing 737-800, which has 16 seats in business class and 144 seats in economy class. The airline is offering an introductory fare of A$538 for a return ticket from Perth to Kota Kinabalu. The offer is good for bookings made until the end of this month.
