Provincial Airlines and the Royal Canadian Legion are working together to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Beaumont-Hamel with free in-province flights for war veterans to go to anniversary events. There is also a new forget-me-not flower design that will be on the passenger door entrance of all PAL planes. The flower is a symbol of all those from Newfoundland who fought in WWI. Any vets who want to attend the July 1 Memorial Day ceremonies and Beaumont-Hamel activities at The Rooms are being offered free flights. In addition, PAL will be offered a 20 percent discount on all future flights.
