CheapAir, the airline booking website, has announced the first online sale of flight tickets for direct charter flights between the U.S. and Havana, Cuba. The airline started out using flights that connected in Mexico, using a different airline to do the second leg of the journey. Now they are allowed to travel non-stop to Cuba. According to CheapAir, a return flight from Miami costs $471 with Sun Country Airlines. Options are to fly from Tampa International Airport or New York’s JFK International Airport. Visitors from the United States must still fall into one of 12 authorized categories such as family visits, humanitarian projects, and religious activities.
