Emirates Airline made the announcement on Monday that they will add to their service to Rome by increasing the number of daily flights to three. This will raise the total of Emirates flights to Italy to 56 per week. The added flight will be operated on an Airbus A330-200, which will add 237 seats per day to the route as well as 15 tons of cargo-carrying space.
Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ senior vice president, Commercial Operations, Europe & Russian Federation, said that the additional daily flight is significant when it comes to the partnership between Emirates and Italy. He said that they will continue to invest in Italy. The new flights will begin on October 1, 2012. The airline has a total of 171 aircraft in its fleet, which makes it the world's biggest operator of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
