It seems as though passengers looking to fly on Rouge airlines will soon have more domestic flights to choose from. Air Canada has announced its plans to add more routes to its domestic offerings where Rouge is concerned. Starting in June it will offer a daily flight between Hamilton and Calgary, giving passengers an option out of the Hamilton airport and a way to avoid all the congestion at Toronto Pearson.
This move is an attempt to give WestJet some competition. Also in June, Rouge will offer flights between Toronto and Abbotsford, B.C.; Toronto, ON; Sydney, N.S.; and and Kelowna, B.C. And in one last addition: there will be a flight between Calgary and Halifax, but this route is seasonal.
