Emirates Airline has made an announcement of their plans to launch flights to Conakry, the capital city of Guinea. These flights will begin on October 27 and they will be linked to the Dubai to Dakar service, which operates four times per week. This will give both business and leisure travelers the opportunity to connect to the airline’s hub in Dubai and the rest of the airline’s network.
Hubert Frach, divisional senior vice president, Commercial Operations West, said that linking to Conakry brings the number of African destinations Emirates serves to 24, which shows their commitment to Africa. Conakry is Guinea’s largest city, with an estimated population of 1.5 million, and is an economic and cultural hub in the country. The new Conakry route will be served with an A340-300.
