Delta Adds Flights from New York to Paris
Delta Airlines has added flights from Newark’s Liberty International Airport to Paris in an attempt to increase their domination over the airports of New York City. In Newark, delta will rival United Airlines, for which Newark become a hub when United bought out Continental Airlines in 2010 to form United Continental Holdings Inc. According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Delta carries more international travelers at JFK International Airport than any other airline.
The flights to Paris began on Saturday and there will be one return flight daily, which according to Delta senior vice-president Bob Cortelyou is a continuation of Delta’s plans to become the pre-eminent carrier for the New York area. Flights bound for Paris will depart Newark at 6:50 pm and the return flight departing Charles DeGaulle Airport in Paris at 1:30 pm.
