Saudi Arabian Airlines will ban mixed-gender flights
The national carrier of Saudi, Saudi Arabian Airlines, which operates as Saudia, will ban mixed-gender flights to come in line with the religious rules set out by the Sunni Muslim regime. The Emirates247 news website reported the policy change on Wednesday. According to the flag carrier, the decision came after repeated complaints from passengers who didn’t want random males seated next to their female family members and wives. The staff at all Gulf kingdom airports will ensure males and females are separated on board Saudia’s flights unless they are close relatives. Saudia Arabia is well known for gender segregation.
