Yercaud Yercaud is a magnificent location situated in Tamil Nadu. This place is filled with the lakes, waterfalls, parks and many buildings which the Britisher’s built. The temperature never exceeds above 30 degrees in Yercaud, whereas the adjoining areas of the hill station are hot and dry. Dhanushkodi Call it the 'Ghost Town' or the 'Lost Treasure', but either way, Dhanushkodi has an unrealistic charm about it. Dhanushkodi is situated in the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of Tamil Nadu. According to various sources, the Dhanushkodi railway line from Pambam station got destroyed in 1964 when a cyclone hit a passenger train, drowning over a 100 passengers with it. Being the only land border between India and Sri Lanka, Dhanushkodi used to flourish as a tourist and pilgrimage town after the '64 disaster. Left in ruins, but it is beautiful to visit.
